Do you want to spend less time in front of your computer and more time out photographing birds?
Do you want to improve the quality of your finished photos without spending any longer in front of your computer?
Do you have a vision of how your final image should look but have difficulty in finding the right tools in Adobe Lightroom to do what you want?
I know I answered yes to at least two of those questions and this lead me to spending many, many hours learning how Adobe Lightroom works and how to use its features efficiently and effectively to minimise the amount of time I spend:
And I am lucky. I have a little bit of background in this sort of thing. As well as waving cameras at stuff for 20 odd years, birding for 25 years and playing with digital cameras for the past 10 years, I also had a successful career in the software industry, advising companies on how to capture, manage and use their data.
This means that Adobe Lightroom makes a lot of sense to me as a bird photographer.
So, I decided that I should bring together my knowledge and experience to create some training resources specifically to help wildlife photographers with Adobe Lightroom.
The training will guide you through your own efficient path within Adobe Lightroom, from downloading your memory cards, to making your photos look great, to uploading them to your favourite forums.
This means it tells you how to do the things you need to do not all the different things Adobe Lightroom can do.
So, now you know that the training is designed to help you make your photos look great more efficiently, I guess you want to know when, where, how long and how much it is.
Well, that's something I am still working on.
I can tell you that it is not your typical 2 day, features and functions training course and I can tell you it doesn't cover every single menu item and dialogue option.
I can also tell you that the training focuses on how you can work with your images in a way that works for you.
I just can't tell you when, where, how long or how much it is...yet.
If you want to be first in line to find out when and where, put your name and email address in the little boxes below and press the big 'tell me when its ready' button. I promise not to give your information to anyone else and will only use it to tell you about the training and workshops.
You never know, I may even offer you a discount to say thank you for expressing your early interest.
So, go on. Fill in your details and press the big button.
