Known issues

Does the plug-in work in Lightroom 1.4? - The plug-in uses features only made available in Lightroom 2, so it will not work in the previous Lightroom 1.x versions.

Can I access the dialogs from a right-click menu or keyboard shortcut? - Lightroom does not currently allow plugins to add functionality to the right-click menus or to assign keyboard shortcuts to the plug-in dialogs. If Adobe update this, then it will be added to the plug-in.

Nature metadata panel appears incomplete or the fields Sex/Age/Captive are incorrect - Lightroom does not seem to 'initialize' the panel until you have added the data through the Species Info dialog. If you set the data on one photo and then select a photo to which you have not applied data, the panel displays the last photo's values. This 'feature' has been logged as a bug with Adobe.

Nature metadata panel is empty or only showing the Title, Caption and location fields - Lightroom does not always seem to load the panel correctly. Select "All Plug-in metadata" then select "Nature" to correctly initialize the panel. This 'feature' has been logged as a bug with Adobe.

I can't see the nature data in the PSD/TIFF I created using the "Edit in" command - Lightroom does not copy the plug-in metadata to the newly created PSD or TIFF file when you use the Edit in command. A simple work-around is to select the PSD/TIFF and the original file, making sure the original file is the 'active' selection (that is, has the brightest highlight). Open the Species Info dialog and it should be pre-populated with the species information from the original file. Just click OK and the data will be applied to the PSD file too. An enhancement request has been raised with Adobe to copy plug-in metadata when "Edit In" is used.
